My guy likes to chew. Straw, palm leaf, grapevine, wood, etc. He loves those grapevine munch balls and he likes popsicle sticks. Not too interested in acrylic/plastic/lucite toys but some birds are.

You dont have to spend heaps of money on toys, things like toilet rolls are great to chew on, cat toys, bird toys, baby toys, your things they will play with anything that they are aloud to have. But then each bird is different some like noisy toys others wont touch them.
Just get a few small toys to start off with to find out what your little guy will like then you can work it out from there, balls they can rip apart etc.
My boy pulls bells apart he takes the dingger out and thinks he is clever.

carrabena (sp) clips with one attached to the cage and then another attached to it work well, very simple but they get the most use in my house.
