how can I determine irn age....??

I just bought a pair of green IRNs. The guy told me they r 9 month old. How can I ensure the age....?
You can only if the bird is under a year old.
If the bird is under a year and it's a normal green ringneck most will have sold black eyes. The feet will be grey and the tail will be shorter. After a year things get more difficult as all of them resemble mature females.
