I think it could be a possible ring coming though, let him/her finish the moult then we will see, but you could have a boy there

Looks promising for a ring to me, mainly because there are darker patches in one particular spot, also his head and beak shape look very male to me .. still can't be 100% till that jet black begins.

I also think its a male--- My Pi-ko is the same colour and also now about a year old! he is about at the same stage as your little one with the ring!

It does look a lil darker around the neck. Ooo.. exciting!

It does look quite a lot like Tsume's "ring" before he actually got one. I would like to say boy! ^_^
