I know I have not ben on lately I have ben very busy with the horse and moving now. I am not sure how to move with the birds. I sold the pair that where just scared to death of people. I was scared they would feak out in the car and die. I do still have Oscar and I also have an albino that has no name yet. Would you get a carrier that is dark for them? I have other pets that are going I just do not want to scare them and I can not part with them I am moving to TN just outside of Nashville.
Thank you
Currie

I would get a carrier that is dark.. Like a cat carrier or similar. A fave toy or treat could help too. Goodluck with the move!

the last time i moved Lou was transported in a "new home" box i got from the pet store. I wasn't going far. I also covered him with his blanky. Lou loves being in the car. There was 2 times last winter that we had to leave the apt due to no power. He has his own travel cage and he talked the whole time , my budgie just goes places in her cage, it's small enough. I was really worried about the kids too but they were fine. Good luck with the move.

Jibby loves car rides too. He loves talking to the people when stopping at the lights. He had a blast going to the vets! But I need a carrier for Yoda. We took him home from the breeder in a small cage with a blanket over it. He was very stressed going to his new home.

I have travelled a fair bit with mine, as we go for holidays at my parents place 4 hours away. I have a small cage for them each and keep them covered with a sheet until they get used to the movement of the car then remove part, so they still feel safe but can look out the window. When I have a passenger we let one out at a time, but they are very tame and stay still, otherwise this would be unsafe. Justy remember to empty the water containers first
