I sent off the DNA card to Avian Genetics and I talked with them today and they will give me the results for my new turquoise IRN tomorrow!!

This is so much fun - I never did it before. I really am looking forward to my results!

I got the results back and it's a GIRL! :D :D

My husband's guess was female so he got it right. This does help explain her hateful behavior to my two adult male IRNs. (or should I say one IRN and one African Ringneck!).

We are very happy to learn she is girl and now we have to change her name a little. We were calling her Jeremy, but now we'll have to say Jeramia or Jerri!

I'll post some photos once I load them to a website that works well for this forum. The flickr website seems a bit difficult to use for this purpose.

I love http://www.dropshots.com so much so I paid the tiny $4.00 a month or so to be a full member and upload all the pics and video (long ones too) I want. I use to jump between free accounts, naughty naughty.

There are others like Youtube .. or imageshack etc. but I like dropshots. Mind you they are in beta testing of the new format at the moment.

Can't wait to see the pics.

Here are two photos of Jerri one now that I have had her one month. She looks much better than when I got her. After a good molt she'll look really beautiful.
