Is tail clipping something I should do? My birds tail feathers are quite long and I'm not sure whether this is annoying him or not, because they get in the way of his toys and the side of the cage.

OMG no, dont cut a birds tail! IRNs tails are naturally long. Which I think makes them more beautiful.

But no, please dont cut a birds tail.
If the tail is getting in the way when moving around the cage. Maybe go for a bigger cage.
Its ok to ask these questions, we are here to learn.

Ahhh what a relief
*relaxes for the first time in two yrs.*
IMHO, you 'might' not want to cut your birds tail but it is completely up to you.
Only my opinion though!

The tails are never to be clipped!!! They use their tail to balance on perches.
