We have recently bought a female lutino to go with our male, and today we noticed her going in the nestbox. Is this a sign that they are ready to mate? If so, is the anything I need to be doing to help them along?

Hi,
It could be a good sign. You did not mention how old the birds were. The hen should be 2 and the cock 3. There is nothing you can do other than make sure they have lots of food and fresh water of course. I give my pairs fresh broccoli and cut up fresh fruit. A cuttle bone would be alright too. Once he or she starts scratching the bedding in the nestbox around is a much better sign. Best of luck and I hope this helps!

May I add something here. I don't think cuttle-bone is very good for birds. If they swallow the hard pieces it could get stuck in their crop and hurt them. This is just my opinion on what i've read on a topic.
For breeding, I haven't had any experience with IRNs, but you may like to read this>>
