Hi All

Just wondering if I could get some advice on candling eggs please? I have a small LED torch. It has 10 LEDs in it. It produces a reasonably focussed beam. Will it be okay to do the candling?

We tried candling each of the five eggs this evening and we thought that it didn't show us anything "inside" the egg. Could that just mean that we have the wrong tools or are the eggs most likely infertile?

I don't know exactly when she started sitting on the eggs but I think it could have been last Friday.

The torch should be fine to use, I use about the same strength to check my eggs. Give it until sunday, normally 8 days after the start of incubation you can start seeing some more difinitive changes. If it shows clear, like nothing inside then they will be infertile. They will start with small traces of veins running through and then gradually become more dense and solid looking.
