Indian Ringneck Beak flaking

Hi,

I'm relatively new here, and I don't know if this is the right place to post this. If not, let me know :)

My Indian Ringneck, Jasmine, has pieces of her beak that are flaky/flaking off. I don't know if this is normal, but I'm worried. Is there some deficiency that might cause this? Is there anything I can do to make it better? Or is this normal?

These pictures are not the best, she wouldn't stop wiggling, so they are a bit blurry.

Thank you,

Erin

Okay...those images didn't work. I'm not entirely sure how to post pictures on here.

Have a look at my comment on this thread although pictures are definitely necessary.
As a Veterinary Nurse (Wildlife) I'd recommend taking it to an avian vet ASAP. Anything to do with beaks in birds is detrimental to their health.

Here's a great beak article, may shed some light.

Also, someone else recently determined insufficient fat in her bird's diet was causing some beak surface trouble.
