Hi there,
Trying to work out what these parent birds could be split to?
Both the cock and hen are visually green, and have produced 2 x green, 1 x blue, and 1 x lutino chick.
Would this mean the cock is green/blue ino and the hen green/blue.........or something else?
Cheers

I would guess the same. And then I'd have the lutino sexed. Chances are good it will be a hen. If it is a cock, you are sitting with a pair where both parents are split for NSLino (recessive ino). Not too likely, but also not impossible.willowisp71 wrote:green/blue ino and the hen green/blue

Thanks Johan! I think I'm slowly starting to get my head around the GenCalc although, I shudder at the thought of getting into the more complicated mutations like edge_dilution, misty, clearhead_fallow etc etc..........not that good at recognising these birds yet
Cheers for your help

No problem. You'll get there! Some mutations are very tricky and you only start getting the hang of them when you look at a lot of different birds. You'll learn best by visiting as many people as you can.
