From what I can find, no matter where you get it the millet will likely be treated with one variety of insecticide or another. What is best for you might depend on your importation laws. For instance, in the US most foods have different acceptable amounts of insecticide depending on if it is imported or not (interestingly sometimes only imported foods are required to pass such a test so local doesn't necessarily mean less chemicals). I could not find anything specifically damning. What you do want to be careful of is mold. So make sure it's clean and kept away from a lot of moisture.
