What to do first?

Hi I just posted earlier that I'm new to the community and now I'd like to ask some questions.
As I posted I have two birds. A Sun Conure and an IRN

Love that IRN
The Sun Conure is very loving and will come to you no problem. However, my IRN looks like he or she may have some trust issues and will not come to me right away.
What is the best way to earn my IRN's trust so that I can get it to come to me no problem. Now this is just a guess, I figured one i earn the trust then training to do stuff will come much easier.

For Hane and me, it has been about (for the most part) letting him decide if he wants to come out or not. He has a perch in his cage that I always remove him from. I ask him if he wants to come out and offer my hand to that perch. If he doesn't want to come out, he moves away. But if he does, he'll come to that perch and step-up to my hand. Sometimes he wants to, sometimes he doesn't. Sometimes he'll change his mind just ten minutes later.
When I clip his wings, he is toweled so he can't see me. I don't talk during the whole thing and then I "rescue" him after, so I become the good guy.
And treats never hurt.
Training could be a trust building/bonding process too. Ellie would have more input on that though.

Hi Pararigger
I agree completely with Melika. It is about allowing your bird to choose what it is comfortable doing and that builds trust.
I suggest you take a look at my most recent post in this thread:

and hopefully that will help.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Ellie.

Oh man I didn't get an update on this post
Glad I came by to check it out.
We I have learned something new about our IRN. I do believe it may already growing attachment to me and not my wife. Between us here on the forum... I'm ok with that since I wanted the IRN to begin with heheh. Anyway last night my wife was handling him and she said she tried cuddling it. As soon as I heard her say that I was like crap... I'm still trying to earn it's trust. I had to pull a double last night by the way so I wasn't able to be there for him or her yesterday until I got home and by then it was 11 o'clock at night and I know not to bother them when it's bedtime. Well anyway she said when she tried to cuddle it on her chest that the IRN did bite her. I said how hard and she said medium lol. So I said well lets not try and hold the IRN yet but let the IRN on her shoulder instead because so far the IRN doesn't mind that. Cuddling will come later. The reason why she try to cuddle it is because he Sun Conure we just got loves that. I told her they're two different birds with two different personalities.
So I think I'm saying the right things here?? Right? LOL.
Bad news...this Sunday I have to leave for a week

so My poor IRN will already be without me for a week. I hate it.
