Hi Everyone

I need a little advice and input. I recently bought a Yellow ringneck parrot. She was handfed but then put in a cage by the petshop with other birds now i know after some time she will get used to me but what worries me is there is a balled spot on the back of her head. The petshop has told me she is still young but im unsure as iv'e seen younger ones with all there feather's. I love animals and i just want to know if she is healthy and that this is normal.

No bird should ever have a bald spot. Most likely she was plucked by another bird in the cage. The feathers should grow back very quickly unless damage was done to the follicles.

You won't be able to post photos or links until you've reached the designated numbers of posts (i think it's 15). We were getting some bad image spam to the board a while back so this was introduced as a security measure.

When you do reach the appropriate number of posts, most people put their photos onto a photo sharing site and then embed or link to the picture.
