Hey New to IRN and need help with what color mutation

Post by Max rose »

I recently purchased what I was told was a blue lacewing. Just wondering do blue lacewings typically have white heads with pale blue body and slightly darker shoulders with a bright light blue rump? Thanks Max

It should be a blue pallid(lacewing) but post a picture and we can give you the answer.

Take the picture in sunlight and make sure there is no flash.

Thanks I'll have to get a camera as I only have my phone. I'm looking to get another but havnt had any luck. I found this one by chance and any local pet shops seem over priced with limited colour choice. Are there any breeders local to Brisbane? Any advice would be of great help thanks max

Thanks for your help guys. Definitely a blue pallid. I have recently aquired another bird from the same clutch and a pair of love birds my friend no longer had the time so I happily took them in. They irn's which are siblings hate each other and both of them hate the love birds. They pin there eyes and try and bite eachother through the cages. Will they ever come around and will my bird get jealous if he sees me spending time on the other birds? Thanks Max
