Hi my name is Karl,

I am introducing myself and 2 month old Indian Ringneck "Indie".
I purchased Indie yesterday and i have a few questions and queries on how to tame him and keep him happy. He has been in an avairy with three other ringnecks before i bought him. My concern of trying to tame him is that i live with my 2 & 4 year old cousins that make alot of noise but are scared of Indie so they wont go near the cage. Is it still possible to tame him in these circustances??

Welcome karl & Indie,

Its not very hard to tame young ones. You just have to assure indie that s/he is safe with you..for a start just try to do most of your stuff sitting next to the cage...few treats (for that you have to find out wat are favorite food of indie by offering one by one , which might take few days.)

if wings are clipped then you can let me out of the cage for few hours....
