Look what I found

Post by pinkdevil » Mon Nov 22, 2010 11:05 pm

Later yesterday afternoon, I went into my Sun Conures nest to candle the eggs for one last time to see how things were progressing along.
I saw a broken egg in the nest and my heart sunk...........

A baby Sun Conure chicky!!! At long last. Have been waiting 3 seasons for this little fella to arrive. Last 2 seasons were duds and I was beginning to think someone was shooting blanks!! :o

YES!!! Well they can be. When I go for walks, I can hear mine from 2 blocks away calling out. They do make great watch dogs though. Call out when any stranger about, or when 2 minutes late with their afternoon snack.
Mine are loud but not constantly calling out.

Bec, the oldest one, also the one with the most yellow on it, always looking at the camera.
The last 4 pics I posted are of the oldest one. The other 2 were too busy hiding in Shanes footy shorts......while he was still wearing them! :o

I got a video of one climbing into Shanes short legs, but didn't think it was appropriate viewing.

The one at the front of the tent is.......you guessed it, the oldest one.

I have had so many people ask me if they can buy them. I am finding it very hard to place them up for sale now that Sunny, (father) has gone.
I guess I can not keep them all, but...... lol

Wow! That's amazing! Congratulations!

What a beautiful feathers are penetrating through the transparent pink skin... Once I wrote a research at https://uk.edubirdie.com/law-essay-writing about species of ringneck parakeets. They are so beautiful!

Wow!
Beauty of the birth!
