Adoption/Buying IRNs

if i could buy or rescue or adopt an IRN, and i would like it young, would 3-4 months old be okay, or should i get it more at like 7 weeks(like a puppy)

kinda confused on that.. :)

You want a parrot that is at least fully weaned, meaning it is eating on it's own.

Puppies tend to wean by 8 weeks, which is why they shouldn't be sold until then. Every animal takes a different amount of time to wean- for instance a baby horse weans around five months of age.

3-4 months would probably be the best time, maybe even a little bit earlier would be ok, some IRN's can be taught tricks and what not at four months!
