first ever South-East Queensland, Australia meetup!

Post by ellieelectrons »

EDIT (22/7/2013): The venue and time has changed. It will now be held in the afternoon at Mooloolaba. Read below.

You are invited to attend the first ever South-East Queensland meetup!

What: Parrots in Paradise hobby home show (see http://www.parrotsinparadise.net/the-show.php)

When: SUN 4th August 10:45 show (arrive from 10:15 am)

Where: 2 BARRS ROADS, Glasshouse Mountains, Queensland, Australia
(for driving directions, go here: http://www.parrotsinparadise.net/location.php)

Why: to enjoy the show, meet like-minded parrot people and learn more about companion parrots.
(Dail has kindly consented to a Q&A at the end of the show.)

Cost: $20 a head

How to book your place: call Dail on 5438 7719 OR email her dails1@bigpond.com (in the email you need to say you want to attend the SUN 4th August 10:45 show, how many people you are bringing and supply a contact phone number)

Who can come: anyone, although we'd especially like to meet members of this forum. Adults, children, families and friends are all welcome. Children are to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

What to bring: your own lunch so we can eat together on Dail's property following the show.

For more information about Parrots in Paradise, go to http://www.parrotsinparadise.net/

If you live in the vicinity, I hope you can make it.

Cool! We are looking forward to it (though I will probably get separation anxiety from leaving Nele at home by himself). I'll start designing some really tricky foraging toys now in preparation :p

Thanks Ellie.

I have just checked the Parrots in Paradise website and it looks like the 4th of August is already booked out, therefore, we won't be able to go there for our first meetup.

Claire and I are organising another venue and I will provide more information on this soon. We are thinking about a 1:30 pm start here on the Sunshine Coast. We are planning to share what we learned at the Parrot Society's Step Up training a couple of months agao.

If you have already booked Parrots in Paradise, please let me know ASAP.

Just a reminder that the meet up is on this Sunday. At the moment I think it will be me, Claire in the Air and Redzone. Would love to see some more faces.
