If i had one i would put him to a Cobalt Turquoise hen.
If you have pied would be even better.
After that i would add cinnamon to it.

That's just me & unfortunately i don't own Dom. Edge Dilute birds as they are v rare here in OZ but i have seen pics and looks great.

Others might have other ideas.

Hi
Thank you for the response i have a cinnamon pied hen but would that not cause a disturbance in the birds apperance once bred as i was thinking along the lines of opaline with the bird or a bronz fallow or a blue whwt .any thoughts on that ?

I would put it to a violet cobalt dilute hen to breed more edged dilute birds. They are really interesting.

Would anyone be kind enough to explain what the dominant edged gene does to the appearance of the bird? Many thanks in advance.

Hi Robert

The dominant Edged mutation has been around a long time but in IRNs has generally been known by the incorrect name of 'Fallow'. It is a mutation that slightly reduces the melanin in SF form and distinctively produces an edging effect to them larger feathers such as flights, where melanin is more concentrated along the edges than in the middle of the feather vane.

Thank you, Farzz1. I have ordered Deon Smith's book and am assuming that that will answer a lot of my questions once it arrives. I appreciate your response.
