Re: food
Hello,
Indian Ringnecks can eat almost anything we eat. It is important you give them a diet that consists of seeds, pellets, vegetables, and fruits.
Though pellets may seem like the best and only choice, it is important they only be given a moderation like anything else. Pallets are processed foods and need to be given with fruits and vegetables. Believe it or not, seeds are just as important.
My parrots enjoy fresh kiwis, mangoes, oranges, apples, grapes, etc. For the dark leafy greens I'll give them kale, dandelion, baby spinach leaves, or dark leafy green lettuces.
All foods should be given fresh and should be removed from the cage in a few hours. Thankfully, ringnecks are not finicky about new foods and will try almost anything you place into their cage.
Foods you should never give your parrot are avocado, onions, alcoholic beverages, or chocolate.
I hope this helps!
