Grey Male with Violet Female

Post by littlemiraclesaviary »

Hi

What would be the outcome of a grey male and a violet hen?

Also for a blue hen with a Cobalt male.

Thank you

can someone give me a crash course on how to use a genetics calculator because I am having a hard time figuring it out I tried to figure out what a Grey CHCT male with a Blue CHCT hen would produce but I don't think i did it right because the outcome seemed weird

Ummm, maybe this, LMA?? I could be wrong, but for the cock I checked the grey, the blue, the clearhead_fallow and clear tail visual buttons, and for the hen, just the blue, the clearhead_fallow, and the cleartail visual buttons??? Probably Lushen, or madas, molossus, or Carmen, or Recio? might be able to give you the correct formula......

1.0 grey(sf) blue clearhead_fallow cleartail
x 0.1 blue clearhead_fallow cleartail
% from all 1.0
50.0% 1.0 grey(sf) blue clearhead_fallow cleartail
50.0% 1.0 blue clearhead_fallow cleartail
% from all 0.1
50.0% 0.1 grey(sf) blue clearhead_fallow cleartail
50.0% 0.1 blue clearhead_fallow cleartail

Actually....I might be wrong about the clearhead-fallow? Not sure how to enter the cleartail AND clearhead, to get CHCT??

thanks for the info. I find the genetic calculator quite confusing myself but maybe I am just too much of a newbie with the mutations for it to make any sense to me.
