Hi, I am new at keeping ringnecks (about 7 months) but I absolutely love them! I am from South Africa (Durban). I have four blue and three green ringnecks. I have a very large cage that was recently built for them (outside), 3.5m (across) X 2M (high). They were placed in their new cage about 2 1/2 months ago. I have 4 breeding boxes in the cage and two days ago my green female ringneck laid her first egg (2/08/2012). She now has two eggs. Her mate is a blue ringneck. Any idea what colour their babies will be?My ringnecks all share a cage and have not shown any aggression towards each other. But I have 3 seperate cages for them if any birds become aggressive and need to be removed from the cage.
I have a garden table and bench placed right in front of their cage and spend hours each day watching them and talking to them. They bring me so much joy!
