I am a new IRN owner. My baby is 3 months old and I was told he/she is a grey lacewing. Just recently I have discovered a blue spot on his chest. So far it's the only one. He is a sweet bird, very curious and BOY does he love coconut! That's his favorite treat. He also thinks it's funny to throw his toys off the top of his cage. Typical toddler.....

Re: Seeing Spots
Hi there,
Your grey lacewing is genetically a grey blue pallid and will show some blue marking on him/her as it gets older usually it will start to blend and not look like spots.
Thanks Glenn

Here's a photo of Jedi I got up onto Photobucket. You can just see the blue spot half way up his chest.

Re: Seeing Spots
Is the blue still there? because it looks like he got into something that was dyed blue, because he has a bright blue spot on his foot aswell....
Re: Seeing Spots
Hi,
If it was pallid the head would be white, either male or female and at any age. Grey-blue? Maybe, it is hard to see the right colours on the screen, but in my computer it looks lavender (blue-violet-cinnamon).
It would be great another pic under natural lighting conditions.
Regards
