What are the possible spilts? bit confussed...

Post by xx_sheena_xx »

A guy i know has a pari of ringnecks..
the male is a green cinnamon and the female is a gold olive
he thought they didnt have any spilts..
but they have had sky blue, green cinnamon, gold olive and silver babies so they have to be split

Can anyone help to what splits they might have??

plus i have one of thier babies, she (DNA sexed) is a green cinnamon, is it possible that she is split to anything?

thanks for any help

Hi Sheena both your birds are split blue.

Also you can nest sex all those babies.

Sky blue, green cinnimon, silver are all female
your green olive which is actully a grey green is male. and is split cinnimon.

1.0 green cinnamon /blue
x 0.1 grey(sf) green /blue
% from all 1.0
12.5% 1.0 grey(sf) green /cinnamon
12.5% 1.0 green /cinnamon
25.0% 1.0 grey(sf) green /blue cinnamon
25.0% 1.0 green /blue cinnamon
12.5% 1.0 grey(sf) blue /cinnamon
12.5% 1.0 blue /cinnamon
% from all 0.1
12.5% 0.1 grey(sf) green cinnamon
12.5% 0.1 green cinnamon
25.0% 0.1 grey(sf) green cinnamon /blue
25.0% 0.1 green cinnamon /blue
12.5% 0.1 grey(sf) blue cinnamon
12.5% 0.1 blue cinnamon

Maybe if you look at the calculations there is a chance that the

green cinnimon will be split blue = green cinnimon/blue
Also any grey green cinnimons maybe split blue. = greygreen cinnimon/blue

the green cinnimon is probably a 75% chance of being split blue.

You have no way of telling unless you where to pair it will a blue bird. and then see what colours come out.

im thinking i will put my cinnamon to a lutino/blue cock

ino/blue x cinnamon green/blue
25% green/ino/cinnamon 25% ino
25% blue/ino/cinnamon 25% blue ino
50% green/ino/blue/cinnamon 50% ino/blue

and if she isnt spilt:

ino/blue x cinnamon green
50% green/ino/blue/cinnamon 50% ino/blue
50% green/ino/cinnamon 50% ino

its the best color i can think to put her with..

kinda off topic question... do lutino's that are spilt have the black ring? or just the red?
and what does a greygreen cinnamon look like?

I dont think the an ino split will look different but you can also get SL ino's and i think they have different colour eyes and ring. I dont know alot about that but.

Regarding the greygreen cinnimon it would look the same as a greygreen but lighter.

That is what usually happens to all cinnimon bird they are lighter version of the normal colour.

Greygreens have an olive look about them but arent actually olive.
