Did you get him from a local breeder? Have you managed to get close to him yet? :)

The lady who i phoned said that it was her grandad that bread them. no i havent managed to get close to him yet he always goes to the back of the cage ive tried giving him treats but he wont take them from me but if i sit the treats in between the bars near me he will come and get them if i stay very still lol (HE LOVES APPLES) he is suppose to be hand tame but if anything he seems to hate hands lol. but after alot of reading about wing clipping i have got him booked in to get this done tomorrow and i hope this will help me to get him abit tame. :)

Let us know how the wing clipping goes, and whether it makes a positive or negative impact on the training!

Good luck for tomorrow Toby!!

Hi just a little update on toby well he got his wings clipped on thursday so far so good i have been able to get closer to him but he still wont eat out of my hand but i am using the perch method before i can see if he will go onto my hand or arm the longest ive had him held on the perch is about 2 mins lol but its better than him just flying away from me all the time although he can still fly with his wings clipped but he is off balance. He seems alot calmer now he loves it out of his cage sitting at the top and because his cage is just under my hight i happely stand next to him and talk to him and he barely moves away from me as before his wing clip he would be away flying away from me i think he knows he cant fly so well lol poor baby.
