Iv been told by a couple of people that
thunder storms can affect the eggs and
chicks and it can cause them to die.
Has any one heard of this happening or
have you experianced it before?

YES I THINK THUNDER OR THE ELECTRICAL TENSION IN THE AIR CAN KILL THE CHICKS. I HAVE HAD DEAD IN THE SHELL CHICKS AFTER STORMS AND MY MOTHER WITH CHICKENS FIRST TOLD ME ABOUT THIS FROM WHEN SHE WORKED AT A BREEDER AND PROCESSING FARM FOR DUCKS,QUAIL AND PHESANTS AND HAS SEEN LOSSES IN THE INCUBATORS WHEN A STORM WAS VERY CLOSE.
