UPDATE* found a breeder! shes currently hand feeding 3 chicks an Albino and two blues! they're going to be ready by the end of august :D ill post pics as soon as she sends them to me im sou excited! i might be going soon to visit her to see the birds thy re quite young still though so might be a while....she lives in the same city and shes a member of the bird society club here, shes a reputable breeder :D

i havent decided on sex or color im not to picky either but it would be nice to have a male for a change as all the ring necks ive owned in the past have been females somehow lol....as for color im leaning more towards a blue, but albinos look gorgeous...originally i wanted the lutino but she doesnt have that at the moment so im going to have to go with blue or albino which i dont have problems with

what do u guys think Blue or albino? Male or female?

As my favourite colour is white, I would lean to albino. I would not care what sex it is. But if you always had girls you might like a change and go with a boy. :D

I have a lutino, albino and a blue so I probably wouldnt be much help with the color. Have a little play with them all and hope that they arent all as gorgeous as eachother otherwise you will probably want to take them all :D or is that just me :?:

hey guys i went to the breeder! i had to fight the urge of not getting all of them ! so its offical ive already paid my deposit! and the bird will be ready around the 25th! lol feels like eons away

i didnt have a camera handy but the breeder is sending me pics today on my email so im gonna post em soon :D the one that i like was the oldest blue one lol he had the most personality and wanted to be picked up..the other blue was quite and the albino kept bobbing his head lol the albino was cute too so in the coming weeks im gonna narrow it down either the blue or the albino

lol Well you do better than me. I can never decide which bird to buy and usually end up buying the lot! That's why I have no money left or space lol.

25th is not too far away but being as excited as you are, will drag slowly by.

I would probably lean towards blue, especially if you want boy and ring. Albino don't get the ring you would be looking for. But if you are not fussy about male and ring, either would be good. I love our kai .. he is a blue and a stunning boy :D

going to have a look at the pics now.

i love your bird kyra! such a vibrant blue color, im leading towards the blue more to...i dont really care for the gender or ring persay but i would love to have a male, mainly because ive never owned a male ringneck lol ive had three ringnecks before all were females 2 bonded with my sisters even though i handfed them lol but mine passed away 3 years ago, and they were all green it would be nice to have a diffrent color ,coz green was the only avail color from where i lived, but now that i have an option im going with blue

The flash always washes them out a little. He is a much richer blue that that, he looks pale powder blue there, and you can even see the hint of greenish tinge to his wings, which cannot be seen with the naked eye.

You have to admit .. I know we love our birds no matter what sex .. but you have to admit a male with his full ring is stunning ! and who wouldn't be proud and happy to have your fid turn out to be male. Also very entertaining with their male attitude and behaviour.

The blues have the most amazing black ring with the white band on the back of the neck (lost the red of the original). - Kai

The lutino's have lost the black, but kept the red flash around the back of the head and the white is as thick as the black is on the blue's and green right around and under the chin. - Jordan

The greens have all the original glory, thick black, white and red edging. - Pickle (my hand raised baby from mickey(lutino female) and kai)

Guess I have been very lucky, to have female, male and one of each main colours. They are all my darlings ! and each one an individual personality.

Kai - Strong, Majestic and King of the Bunch, very protective of Mickey

Mickey - submissive quiet, wide eyed little girl, dedicated to Kai totally

Jordan - Moody, but cheeky and playful, fraidy cat, but loves to tease the others, the little court jester. Dominated by younger pickle, but adores pickle and wouldn't be without him.

Pickle - The gentle giant, sweet, loving but very much a loner from the others, fascinated with his father, and very much his fathers offspring, Strong and sure, puts Jordan in his place when need be, you could say he likes Jordans company but on his own terms .. lol

Jordan !! :D , then Pickle, Mickey and Kai only come out every so often, they are our breeders but still quite tame.

We also have both our cockatiels out most times. The usual is to have Jordan, Pickle, Keily and our new tiel Cornellius out all running around being mischievious and playing with us and each other.

But Jordan is by far the one that is all over us the most.
