Sniff... I think I may have a problem. It could be the MBS everyone is talking about but I know I can control it. I have one green ringneck and I am picking up 2 more today. I have 2 pairakeets would like get get 2 girls soon for them. I have 1 cockateil but I am sure he will need a friend. I would love to get a congo grey or a sulfer crested cockatoo one day.

See I can control this I only have tike 6 fids now :) yay me.

MBS is good as long as you know what your getting yourself into. So many people (not saying anyone here) get in way over their heads and can't properly care for what they take in be it a baby or a rescue. I know in some cases I've seen first hand people feel the need to rescue a bird for what ever reason and then find they just can't handle either the second hand bird baggage that it comes with or the noise and even the messes so please make sure you know your limits for the birds sake.

I have 10 most are rescues with major issues.

Actually I am more of a Basketball Nutcase, my son is my Star Player, but I follow the New South Dragons (Go Heale! you sexy thing) and NBA I follow the Cavs and Miami Heat. When I was in Florida I went to watch Orlando Magic play the Cavs.. that was awesome, they know how to put on a show, just like their 4th July. Okay guys....fess up -- am I really the only truly pathetic case here..... I have to count beaks (some given away, some born, some fostered.....), but am somewhere between 35 and 40 fids. Most of them are lilttle guys -- finches, canaries and budgies. And I seem to remember offering to take some Gouldians for someone who was moving, but maybe I didn't really do that...... we shall see!

Hi, my name's Danni and I have MBS. I have one blue IRN, one miniature red crowned lorikeet and two lovebirds. I had one lovebird until I saw this gorgeous violet masked lovebird on the weekend and had to get my other lovebird a friend.
I am wanting to get another IRN in the future. It's incredible, I just can't help myself. ;-)

Dont you all feel better knowing that you are not the only one with this problem, and when your partner looks at you like your crazy you can see all the replies on this thread and just know that birds just do that to people..

And when that wild eye'd flufball in that toy filled cage worth a weeks wage looks at your fingers like they are the next meal of the day we'll be there with the med kit cos we are all owned by birds.

MBS MBS MBS nope not me, ok I admit

Post by Cindy »

"as I stand up and face the room"
I have a confession, I knew I had MBS, but I would not control it and now my hubby and son have it. 13 yr old son has 2 budgies, 2 lovebirds, and one Indian Ringneck. I have one Indian Ringneck, one male cockatiel, and one baby Sun Conure..now hubby has MBS really bad this season. He is owned by 2 female cockatiels and the new addition is 1 Greecheek Concure and one Yellow sided Concure..the conures were rescues. They are not even out of quarentine yet and have graced hubby with 6 eggs...So looks like we will be Conure breeders...Hmmm, that 12 fids, plus at least 6 or more (she is not done laying yet)!!!!!

Oh geez...he is coming close, I gave away a couple. Think I am getting a lovebird soon, though I haven't heard back from the lady (she is a cat rescuer and found him in an alley with a sign saying free....can you imagine). Don't think I can keep up with Bry's pace and keep my day job, though!
