Those are some very cool pictures. I love the action shots. What a gorgeous bird you have. Loved the ones where he was stealing the straw from your glass. He's beautiful. Please continue to post and share Malibu stories with us.

Hugs,
Jen

Mal's Story

Post by Munza »

We got Malibu from a friend almost 2 1/2 years ago. His parents were wild birds, not to sure of their story but they ended up with our friends. Each year they have offspring and our friends sell them quite cheep. We picked up Malibu for $20 Australian. He was about 6-8 weeks old, the first time he steped out of his parents breading box he was nabed. He was very scared when we got him and I just held him close and conforted him. In next to no time, few days and plenty of handling he was quite calm with us. His personality now is very apparent and he knows what he wants. He is very inquisitive and would like to get in to everything given the chance. We have over the last 2 years been teaching him simple tricks and teaching him to talk. We ordered Chets BirdTricks training videos and they work quite well with him and have ordered his new talking traning package in the hope to improve and increase his speech. At the moment he can half pronounce "Hello" and now trying to get him to say "I Love You" Maybe I'll see if I can get some video footage of him up for people to look at.
