I was surprised by my bird when I got home...

Post by Finnabun »

I had done my typical routine: Come home, say hello to my pets, sit down and browse the internet. Let me start off by saying that there are some loud dogs across the street and they bark constantly. Anyways, I sat down, went on my computer, and tried to tone out the barking with music. Then, I heard the barking again, but louder and a little bit higher pitched. Very strange. I took off the headphones and listened for a minute, nothing weird happened. Indi looked pretty normal. I put the headphones back on and a few seconds later, I hear it again. After a while, I finally see what was making the noise. Indi had heard the dogs from outside and mimicked their barking! I was honestly very surprised, considering she's never made any noises but screeching since I'd only had her for a day, and later found her mimicking noises from the TV. She barks, meows, copies ringtones, makes a weird laser sound, and is learning how to say hello. I'm so happy she's finally warming up to me and her new home :D

They are brilliant impersonators aren't they?, Sanjay has learnt most of his repertoire from the TV!

It's always exciting when they learn something new!

I remember the first time Archimedes started talking--I could not believe it!

Then, when Devri started talking I was amazed. These are such amazing creatures. Truly they have the gift of melting our hearts! :))

Awesome story!

Yes, just when you think they've forgotten!, the best time to listen out for Sanjay is when I'm having a conversation with someone, he loves to interrupt and if it's a "Wot??" It's really funny. :-bd

Probably worried there's a strange bird on his territory. He won't draw attention to himself by making much noise, as a form of protection.
