Our raging hormonal boy

Post by InTheAir »

Nila is a big boy now!
He's so hormonal, in his own relaxed way.... He is obessed with doing his sexy dance for the bathroom mirror and feeds it. If he catches a glimpse of his reflection in a widow he tries to seduce it.
He even boy danced and tried to feed the photo I showed him of the new bird to be!
He tries to boy dance at me sometimes too, but I drop eye contact and walk away. It does make training a bit tricky, we have to stick to prop based tricks. For some reason he thinks the hand signal for the bat trick is a come on...
I am surprised how obessed he is with breeding as he is only a year old! We should have named him after my cousin..... Randy!

Luckily he is still easygoing and fine to handle. He doesn't object to being removed from the mirror and forgets he's hormonal as soon as you distract him.

I find the boy dance quite endearing (I *am* a girl after all?).....

Have you got the sound effects, too?

He says "what are you doing?" and Wolf whistles while he boy dances.
Is that what you mean? I think he needs a better pick up line.

Charlie, says "Hey, what you doin'" a bit like Joey off Friends... that's supposedly the ultimate in pickup lines!

No, the *noise*..... You know, THE NOISE!

It's the happy getting into something noise, the one I think would be the natural sound effect to this http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lsg50 ... o1_500.jpg and this http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_E_o_0Bdm4GA/T ... achine.bmp and this http://www.steampunklab.com/pics/473.jpg and, of course, this http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs39/f/2008/ ... eature.jpg .....

MissK, do you mean the noise that sort of goes "WrrrrOOOOoooow"?

In our house, we call this the "sultana noise", because we first heard it when Bug discovered what a sultana was for.

It's a very hard noise to write, but I think it would fit perfectly with your pictures!

Lol! I was thinking it will be the noise that Nila makes when he meets his new friend!
He makes that noise for yummy food, when he does it, it sounds like "annn oooo".
He only does human noises for his boy dance and adds tricks, like waving. He waves to us when he wants an object we are holding, so it leads to him requesting the good looking bird from out of the mirror. ...

If I can ever record it in any way I'll ask Ranechild to put it on the net so you can share. I have actually *no hope* of being able to achieve such a thing myself.
