Aloha, we are new

Post by RamanaKitty »

Hello I'm new to the forum.. I just wanted to thank you guys for putting together a great site and introduce the little ones Ramana (GREEN) and Kitty (BLUE). They are about 10 months now and are growing up to be some really pretty birds. Im just going to take a wild guess and say that they are both girls. They are born and raised in Hawaii and are starting to speak the local language here (pidgin). We took some pictures of them playing in the yard today, so i thought we would share.
mahalo,

They are beautiful...:) we have a bird club that meets once a month if you'd like to attend. It's called the Hawaiian Feathered Friends Network and our next meeting is coming up on the 16th. Pm me if you'd like to try to attend. We have a lot of fun :D

Monstera. I *like* it!
But it's on the toxic list.

It's all over the net as being toxic to my dogs. Maybe nobody knows! I'd love to have that on my cages. Seems perfect, too - Wiki says it grows towards the darkest shade it can find and then goes up for light.

You know I won't be the one to take a chance, with the way my puppy heads eat contraband.
But I appreciate your looking out for me, I surely do!

I looked around too...such contradicting info lol. I found one website that listed Ti Plant as toxic too...my birds and all the local ones around here eat it too. maybe it's toxicity is regional.

What a mess. I think we are victim to poor record keeping and bad communication, with a dash of carelessness thrown in. And I'm guilty of steering this thread towards plants!

Sorry to the OP! I look forward to more pictures of your pretty birds and their big leaf.
