G'day from down under

Post by deHens »

Hey I'm Jack,

My brother and I just got 2 tame 18 month old female ringnecks today and are looking forward to them talking and being able to do tricks as well as sit on our shoulders and chill. We are very excited with our new feathery friends and are looking forward to a nice companionship as well as the birds being able to socialise with family members and friends.

Any tips for new older birds in the home? Or just other general tips.

Cheers

Hi and welcome Jack,

The best thing I can say to you is, give your new fids time, don't expect too much too soon, they will need time to get use to their new surroundings and you. Use good training techniques, be verbal when training and always treat them for good behaviour. Plenty of fresh fruit and vegi's. Read, read and always ask !

Good Luck and again Welcome to the family.
