Do all Alex's have that reddy-purple coloured mark on their wing? its a very beautiful colour

Yup! Its a trait carried by all pure Alex's, you can tell an Alex that has been bred with IRN blood in the past as the colouring is faint and minimal.

When its solid like that you know its pretty solidly pure. Gets stronger and slightly larger depending on the bird / maturity.

You just reminded me. I have only ever seen one Alex in the flesh, and i took a photo of it on my old mobile because i didnt know what an Alex was at that point. I've just looked at the photo again and the bird does have the purple markings but they are barely visible. That's probably why i didn't know all of them had it
