You cannot really say from that ring as I have seen females with a light colored ring. But something about him does say "male" to me.

Lovely looking bird. I have a hen (6yo proven breeder) with a darker line (just barely) and pale back neck than that.. so who knows

I have birds I would swear were one sex.. then turn out to be another.. even the best of us are wrong with these young birds heh

Thats the same bird? O.o

The first post I would have said it was a turq blue, the pics in the last post are what looks like a grey-green heh.

Great pics, Threio is 3-5 mos old, from you pic it looks like you put a rubber band around his neck..LOL OMG when the Ring starts to come in its very distinctive isn't it! Cool again great pics
