Look who is moulting!

Notice the black spot on the side of his neck? It's a feather! He's got all more black feathers around his beak and under his neck there are little black stumps.

He's looking a bit scruffy at the moment though.

Does anyone know how long it takes to moult?

could be a few weeks, a few months, all depends. The ring will come in as if by magic over the next few months and will look rather full but get darker and more defined over the next year or so. this is what happened with my Kai anyway. :wink:

Oh boy oh boy! Poor lil guy, adolescence is an ugly time. But dont worry you'll be back to your normal pretty boy self again.
