Ozzie Day 36

Post by Mattls »

Hi guys,

Well Ozzie has grown quite a lot. This bird has been through a lot in the 36 days he's been alive. He's had e-coli, candita, vomiting and an ulcer over his left eye. He's almost completely healthy now due to my wife's dedication.

you could come sit in my living room and try to call into a teleconference with ALL the birds trying to answer me when I say something....... That might cure you for a while (didn't work for me, but in theory?!)

I have the bird sitter video, lots of birds squaking etc at once, and I love it.

You're right probably wouldn'd help a bit, just make it worse. :D

But hey thanks for thinking of me.

Ok, here are some highly sought after photos of Ozzie. He has certainly grown, he was 300 grams this morning!!!

Image

He is such a boy  I'm speaking from experience, this is Matt's wife writing.

Image

He is learning to use his mouth, he just loves fingers, cheerios...and zippers!

Image

So now you should be satisfied for a couple of days till we take some more good photos of the little man.

Dang it, I can't see any of the pictures. I will have to guess that he is a cutie though, going by all the other gals comments.

Ok the last photos did it.
I'm actively looking for a plane ticket to Geelong, uh what country is that in?
I'll need your steet address and hours when you are both gone so I can sneak in and help myself.
Come on, you've tempted me enough, give me the info. I'll just take the bird. :D

Oh well. Guess not. But want you to know I can close my eyes and feel the warmth of that little cutie on my chest and hear his little noises. :(
I want a baby male eclectus.

Thanks so much for letting me live vicariously.

Here he is day 67!!! His head grew almost double overnight. Starting to really look like an Eclectus now. The biggest news is that he is now pooing on command!!!! Only 9 weeks old and obeying; what a genius!

Post by Bird crazy »

He is getting prettier and prettier, or handsomer and handsomer all the time.

You will fovever be know as Ozzie's mom and dad, can't remember your names but won't forget the name that goes with that pretty little face.

If he's pooing on command you deserve the pats on the backs, because he wasn't born knowing that. You guys taught him that, Now just imagine all the other possibilites as he grows and matures......

This is Ozzie at 10 weeks old. I managed to get a photo of him pooping on command!!! I just had to prove it. Not that you can really see it. The second photo is of him playing around with a pinecone before bedtime.

Blue feathers

Post by Bird crazy »

He has really grown. And he is beautiful.

Those blue flight feathers are awesome.

The color on the eclectus males is the prettiest I have ever seen. Other birds are pretty but the male eclectus is my favorite hands down.
