So do they molt every year, is this why im collecting feathers from marleys cage. I thought maybe he had started plucking. I noticed the night befor last when i let him out that he has a couple of loose feathers and for the last 4-5 days ive collected a few feathers. Is he plucking or molting, im worried now  :? im so wrapped up in marley, forgot to stay, boooootiful baby by the way. natalie xxxx

Mia,
Kalle is such a gorgeous bird. Remmi is still moulting. This has been almost a month. Still dropping feathers. Kalle's feathers look huge compared to my Remmis.

Hugs,
Jen

Love the photo of feathers. It's pretty interesting looking at all the different kinds of feathers they have. Each feather designed to do something different and be somewhere in particular...

Yes, Kalle is really beautiful. I wish you colud see him in real life. His feathers are so clean and in order that I can understand if Mia is a bit worried. But as we all know - feathers grows back!

Is it always that they molts every year? Or might it happen every second year?

Look at that big gorgeous boy!

Busey's molting too now, but I didn't think to keep the feathers. that's a good idea - you can make crafts with them! :)

I swear Mia...Kalle looks good when he is molting! He still stays so handsome and has such great feathers! Most IRN look like hell when they molt, Prinny being one of them
