Turquoise IRN chick, Darwin! NEW UPDATES 5/15/12

Post by jhebert9 » Wed Mar 21, 2012 7:01 am

This is Darwin! He (or she) is my new turquoise 4 week old IRN chick. I'm currently hand-feeding him & another chick for my cousin. I'm so excited about him!! Been waiting for him for a long time.

Man that's a neat job of hand rearing. My daughters have being doing this for many years now and you should see their work. I swear more food gets on the feathers than into the crop.
Well done on that.

Haha yeah, it's so messy. We spend more time cleaning him up than it takes to feed him! Haha.

He knows how to "step up" and "dance" by bobbing his head up and down! He's about 9 weeks old now! He LOVES apples, & veggies like cucumbers, squash, sweet potato, and carrots!
