I had a Sulphur Crested Cockatoo in my 20's and loved her to bits. but she was NOISY!
On the day we picked up Merlin, our IRN, I saw a magnificent, gentle blue and red Macaw. Wouldn't it be cool to own of those giants?

This sounds strange because they're so readily available, but I've always wanted to breed a pair of Galahs!! Love their personality and funny antics, and would love to hand raise.
Always loved King Parrots as well. Oh, and Sun Conures...and...and...... the list could get rather long....
If you're talking outside the norm, then a Wedge Tailed Eagle. I'm fascinated by birds of prey.

Definately a wedgy & African Grey would be on my list. Hmmmm....maybe a black cockatoo, or a penguin, that would be cool.

I had the privilage of raising/fostering a young wedge when I was 10yrs old in the Northern Territory. Was a bushfire victim, had badly singed feathers and blistered tallons.
After around 6 months the little guy was pretty much all fit and ready to go out on his own again, but being a kid I was too social with him, thankfully he ended up leaving the property after around a week of realising I wasnt letting him back in (he was freaking huge even at only around a year of age or so at a guess at that point).
He was the kindest thing around (you will be amazed at how social and friendly bushfire animals can be, since they get constant care and looking after).
I would so much love to be able to experience that again one day.

With Leo on this one! Love the ringneck species!
I also dream of having a hyacinth macaw, greenwing macaw, and an african grey. I also want a blue throat macaw, red fronted macaw, english budgies, conures, black palm cockatoos, the list goes on and on. I would love a kestrel (small american falcon) if I ever got into falconry.
