I've just sent off for a feather collection kit so that I can have Gandalf dna sexed. He/she'll be one year old on 19th of May and it will be nice to know with a some degree of accuracy whether Gandalf is a he or a she (I think a hen though I always give male names until proven otherwise, no idea why lol) If Gandalf really is a hen then I guess I'll just have to change her name to Galadriel, he/she doesn't really now his/her name though as I tend to call him/her 'Birdie'.
Will be fun finding out.
It's so hard choosing a name when you dont know the sex of your birdie. They learn their own name before they learn anything else usually so you want them to learn the right word!
I gave Gilbert a name when he was young and he responds to his 'nickname' Jibby I don't know how it happened, it sort of morphed into Jibby now Jibs, might as well call him J or G.
