I've just sent off for a feather collection kit so that I can have Gandalf dna sexed. He/she'll be one year old on 19th of May and it will be nice to know with a some degree of accuracy whether Gandalf is a he or a she (I think a hen though I always give male names until proven otherwise, no idea why lol) If Gandalf really is a hen then I guess I'll just have to change her name to Galadriel, he/she doesn't really now his/her name though as I tend to call him/her 'Birdie'.
Will be fun finding out.

It's so hard choosing a name when you dont know the sex of your birdie. They learn their own name before they learn anything else usually so you want them to learn the right word!

OO How exciting!

I gave Gilbert a name when he was young and he responds to his 'nickname' Jibby I don't know how it happened, it sort of morphed into Jibby now Jibs, might as well call him J or G. :roll:

I do that all the time too. Most of my birds are called nicknames rather than their actual names lol. It just happens.
