Speaking of Bird Bathtubs - anybody using this one?

Post by MissK »

We have a couple of people these days chatting about birds and baths. Is anybody currently using this bathtub? If yes, could you please review it for us?

Looks like a good idea for birds kept inside - should contain some of the water that they like to flick around, although i don't reckon my birds would get into it as they seem to like jumping in and dunking their whole bodies!!

Would also be interested in a review though :)

I am such a dunce I had to share...I didn't see that the bird bath was listed on amazon uk. So when I looked at the measurements I was like WOW that's a big bird bath. Duh!!
I am owned by my birds...and I wouldn't have it any other way :D

I had warning - I read a post about it elsewhere, maybe Avian Avenue. The person who bought it had it shipped from overseas. It ended up costing her $75.

Hi!

How long has Sanjay had it? Do you leave it open for business all the time? Is there another water source available? Does Sanjay like a bath in the first place? Do you think it's really big enough for a Ringneck?

Sanjay likes to wash in his water bowl if the spray bottle is not offered, he loves a spray and lifts his wings and btm for a good squirting!, we tried putting the bath in his cage daily so he could get used to it, we hoped curiosity would get him in there, yet when we had fischers lovebirds years ago they adored their bird bath.

I had one my Quaker wouldn't get in and she loved water. Probably in a toy box somewhere now.

Great idea, turning the shower head up like that!
And they sure do enjoy it.
Well done.

Similar to what i do with mine - i put our garden hose on a light mist spray and hook it in the bars of the aviary, they love to sit and dance in front of it with their wings outstretched - they are fascinating to watch!

They love this especially on a hot day!

Hi all,

Glad you all got a giggle from the vid :) They absolutely love their 'bath time'. They'd have one every morning if we let them, but we try to limit it to every second or third day. It's funny to come across one or both of them down the hall in the bathroom, sitting on top of the shower rose and inspecting the underside, wondering where the water has gone :?

:D
