Re: medicine
Hey Sadattrey,
I'm by no means the most experienced person when it comes to IRNs... but I have had birds for most of my life and it sounds to me like your bird may just be cleaning her beak? Is everything else about her beak normal? It's not flaky or chipped or dry or anything like that? There's no broken skin or blood?
My birds, both cockatiels and IRNs rub their beaks on everything, kind of like how a small toddler puts things straight into their mouth. I see it as their way of learning. Because everything is very beak oriented that's how they experience. My guys will often "itch" their beaks after eating- it's just their way of wiping it clean.
If you're concerned though or her beak is looking bad I'd speak to your vet.
