Hello,
Peeper was a beautiful, gentle male IRN about 18-25 years old.
No signs of problems until this a.m. when my 9 year old son, Maxx, noticed him fall from his perch. Not able to control head and labored breathing. Wife swaddled him and within minutes he was gone. No secretions or signs of trauma.
Did he die of old age/organ failure? Has anyone lost a bird to age?
I also suspected a glade air freshener in a nearby room, but I just don't know.
Thank you.
We miss him already and regret complaining about his loudness.
Bobby

Re: IRN Peeper died today suddenly.
i'm so sorry about your loss....
i had lost a mynah to old age. she was 23-26years old... i was noticing that it was harder and harder for her to walk, hop, and to comedown for her meals the last month b4 she died.
then one day, she just came down for her feeding, and didnt hop up... went to a corner and was breathing hard. i immediately called our vet, but when i came to check on her after the call, it was already too late...
mayb your bird died of old age too. it sure looks similar...
again, i'm really sorry... may it be in a better place now...
