Help with what sort of behaviour this is??

Post by Amy:) »

Hi, custard my irn is about 11 months old now, "she" has no sign of a ring, and does not speak although has a very decent whistling vocabulary. "she" will put her head back and cluck with eyes pinning when patted on the back but "she" will also quite often display her wings out in a love heart shape, bow and regurgitate food. Is this male or female behaviour?I'm thinking female, but some people I talk to say male with the whole wings out bowing dance "she" does.

Its hard to say. Both Males and Females can do this. I have a female Violet that does display and dance like a male.

I have a baby boy( DNA tested approximate. 4 months old, he does the heart wing, head bobbing, regurgitating to his little red ball, since he's our only bird:)
