bringing clutchmate home

Post by 3tiels&aringneck »

I am in the process of bringing the clutchmate to one of my birds home to live with us. My bird has been around his brother a few times, but I'm wondering if they can be put in the same cage. They are about 8-9 months old and have only been around each other a couple of times since. I want to make sure it will be okay for them to live in the same cage together, I plan to keep them separated for maybe two weeks. If they get along outside the cage, will they get along inside the cage is the question.

The only answer is we don't know. There's no way to tell if they will get along. They might get a long at first then hate each other after a few years, could go the other way around. Each bird is his own personality and just like us won't get along with everyone. ^^

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay
