3 Month old Ringneck

Post by Cloud »

Hi just wanted to consult with fellow owners whether appearance wise, Cloud looks healthy.
Also how do you get the smooth looking plumage?
Or does this take quite awhile?

Thanks

i think he looks fine. he looks a bit ruffled, but he is young still. Just make sure you give hime heaps of fruit and veg. A balanced diet is the best way to look afer his feathers. I know my two love a shower, and always look smoother after that too. If he doesn't like the shower, provide him with a bird bath and he'll do it himself.

The smooth feathers will come in after a good moult and more experience in self-grooming. It took my sister's bird more than a year to figure out how to groom himself to his finest!

I've been called 'birdbrained' before, but somehow I don't think this is what they meant. say:hah-nay
