So, what to do???Is it really a female or some kind of display???

Well if you see a black ring coming from under the neck of your ringneck, then it's definitely a male. In this case you could sell the parakeet or you could just keep it. I don't think that would create a problem. They would probably enjoy the company.

Sounds like you have another boy to me. :D
If they have been getting along fine together then why not keep them both? Unless you are wanting to breed?
I know people who have kept male ringies together with no probs. Just depends on each bird.

you can but i would make sure you have enough cages i always try to introduce new birds slowly by placing the new birds cage near you guysi wouldnt put the 2 girls in the same cage either as females can be very territorial about there cages (i found this one out the hard way)
but you will lose some of your bonding with your boys if you do pair them
