Food

Post by Newbirdmom »

What is the best food to get? I am going to the pet shop today to pick up cage and food for my baby and want the best feed. Also I think I will be keeping my baby in my room. I have chinchillas in the living room and when they take there bath it can get dusty. At least untill the chinchillas get moved to there own room when we move. I was also told not to spoil my baby right away that could cause more problems is that true? Thank you everyone for all your help.

I think spoiling your baby is a good way for you to start bonding.
I feed my birds seed, pellets, and a cerial fruit and nut mix thing, they love it, they also get fresh fruit and veg. The other stuff is much healthier for them than seed.

I feed Prinny a mix of seed and pellets (usually the pellets end up all over...*sighs*) Try to buy a brand without sunflower or safflower seeds! Those are addictive to them and are like feeding a child snickers bars everyday.

Lots of fresh fruits and veggies...Prinny gets basically what I eat (with the expections of avacado, caffine, chocolate...ect.)

Spoil them rotten on the outside, NOT the inside!
