Hi Jürgen,

you have breed two NSL Albinos. So both parents are at least split for NSLino. In the early years of whwts they were combined with NSLino in the Netherlands.
Perhaps you know the first ever cleartail found its way to the aviaries of Mr. Postema. Within this package were was a NSLino bird. Mr. Postema then paired this
two birds together.
So all cleartails around the world are possible split for NSLino. In Germany there is a breeder who has breed two NSLino birds this year as well. I can forward you the contact details if you like. So you can exchange birds or you buy his birds.

Nowadays the NSLino birds are used to test the red eyed fallow mutations if they are allel of the a-locus (NSLino is the base mutation of the a-locus) as proven for cockatiels and lovebirds.

greetings.

Sorry my first answer wasn't entirely correct.

Both parents are visual cleartails so the offspring had to be cleartail as well. But the visual phenotype of the cleartail becomes overlapped by or mixed with the phenotype of NSLino (NSL albino). And to add the birds can be carrier of violet or violet(df) as.

So here is the outcome of your pair:

=====================================================================
1,0 cleartail Violet blue /NSLino x 0,1 cleartail Violet blue /NSLino
=====================================================================
% from all 1,0

1,0 6,25% cleartail blue
1,0 12,5% cleartail blue /NSLino
1,0 12,5% cleartail Violet blue
1,0 25% cleartail Violet blue /NSLino
1,0 6,25% cleartail Violet(DF) blue
1,0 12,5% cleartail Violet(DF) blue /NSLino
1,0 6,25% NSLino cleartail blue (possible one of your Albinos)
1,0 12,5% NSLino cleartail Violet blue (possible one of your Albinos)
1,0 6,25% NSLino cleartail Violet(DF) blue (possible one of your Albinos)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
% from all 0,1

0,1 6,25% cleartail blue
0,1 12,5% cleartail blue /NSLino
0,1 12,5% cleartail Violet blue
0,1 25% cleartail Violet blue /NSLino
0,1 6,25% cleartail Violet(DF) blue
0,1 12,5% cleartail Violet(DF) blue /NSLino
0,1 6,25% NSLino cleartail blue
0,1 12,5% NSLino cleartail Violet blue
0,1 6,25% NSLino cleartail Violet(DF) blue

depends on the makeup of the cleartail blue.
If she is split for NSLino as well then you will get the following offspring (lets assume your NSL albino is carrier of one violet factor based on the 12,5% outcome):

=============================================================
1,0 NSLino cleartail Violet blue x 0,1 cleartail blue /NSLino
=============================================================
% from all 1,0

1,0 25% cleartail blue /NSLino
1,0 25% cleartail Violet blue /NSLino
1,0 25% NSLino cleartail blue
1,0 25% NSLino cleartail Violet blue
-------------------------------------------------------------
% from all 0,1

0,1 25% cleartail blue /NSLino
0,1 25% cleartail Violet blue /NSLino
0,1 25% NSLino cleartail blue
0,1 25% NSLino cleartail Violet blue

if she isn't split for NSLino means normal cleartail blue then you will get this:

=====================================================
1,0 NSLino cleartail Violet blue x 0,1 cleartail blue
=====================================================
% from all 1,0

1,0 50% cleartail blue /NSLino
1,0 50% cleartail Violet blue /NSLino
-----------------------------------------------------
% from all 0,1

0,1 50% cleartail blue /NSLino
0,1 50% cleartail Violet blue /NSLino

Anyone in Australia breeding NSLino or these albinos breed from H&T.
